Introduced at ScotDance 2012 - Our Premier and Primary Practise Swords!

Endorsed by Bill Troock, SDCCS 2012 Chairperson

In 1980 Scottish Imports introduced the first Broad Sword made exclusively for Highland Dancing.  Designed to sit firmly on the floor plus be a show piece, these Broad Swords have been winners with dancers world wide for over 30 years.  They are available with either chrome or leather scabbard, and with either left-handed or right-handed hilt.
The winners of the Gail Danysk 2012 Championship Series received the original chrome highland dancing sword with chrome scabbard.  Scottish Imports was very proud to be a Presenting Sponsor at ScotDance 2012.
In 2011, Scottish Imports decided there need to be a more versatile broad sword.  Something reversable, durable, and with a good looking scratch resistant finish.  It also had to meet the quality control of dancing teachers, judges and dancers.  With design input from Bill Troock Scottish Imports introduced a line of Premier and Primary Practise swords.  Both the primary hilt and premier hit practice swords made their debut at ScotDance in 2012.
These practice swords are exactly what every dancer, dance school and Highland Dancing Association needs.  They are durable, scratch resistant and made to withstand the wear and tear Highland Dancing swords take around the dance school and in traveling to and from competition.
